Announcement of IAPS 2017 Symposium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

28th of June 2016

Prof. Wilbard Kombe, Dr. Nathalie Jean-Baptiste and Dr. Tatu Limbumba made the first announcement of the IAPS 2017 Symposium which will be held in Dar es Salaam on the 27-29 September 2017. The announcement was made at the IAPS24 Conference in Lund, Sweden  and was well-received among 400 international scholars.

The IAPS 2017 Symposium is the first of its kind in East Africa. It addresses knowledge for climate proof urban development in rapidly changing environments. The symposium will take a pioneering look at urban development, people and environmental behaviour in the global south and in particular in Africa. Participants will debate the added value of explicitly relating scientific knowledge about climate change to pro-environmental behaviour and city planning.
