The ACTUS team is pleased to receive Dr. Émilie Pinard, Assistant Professor at the McEwen School of Architecture at Laurentian University, Canada.  Dr. Pinard’s expertise in African urban studies includes research in Maputo and Dakar. Her work focuses on the development of embedded housing and urban design solutions for informal peri-urban neighbourhoods, everyday housing production practices and gender dynamics

Dr. Pinard is co-convenor of the IAPS Housing Network and member of the organizing committee of the next IAPS 2017 Symposium in Dar es Salaam.
